Our Story

We started our practice, Manhattan Area Counseling, in Manhattan, Montana after moving there for Ed to teach counseling at Montana State University. Our goal was to provide services to those who might not be able to get them due to distance. We thoroughly enjoyed living and working in this community.

Like so many others, we realized during the pandemic the challenge of distance from family and moved to the Outer Banks, where we rebranded as Peace Island Counseling.

But….. The mountains are calling us back and we will be relocating to Weaverville, NC in 2026! Luckily, we are able to continue providing telehealth services regardless of location. However, Glee is excited to get an office and see clients in person after the move!
